ID: 63891845 Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Description: Call Requirements: May be placed on call for regularly scheduled shiftsAll staff, including travelers, may be required to be a Rover nurse/task nurse on any inpatient unit. This includes NICU, Labor and Delivery and adult acute care.Rovers perform tasks such as: Turns, repositioning Bathing Assistance with patient transport Ambulation Meal assistance Medication administration (within individual comfort zone and training)This is a mixed-acuity unit; 24 beds Ratios are 1:2 for PICU, 1:3 for PCU, 1:4 Acute All RDOs must be stipulated in their contracts. If not in their contract, they will be responsible for working with core staff to trade if they are scheduled on a day they want off.Scheduling period is 4 weeks; Week runs Monday through Sunday.Travelers do not self-schedule. They are scheduled by the unit scheduler in accordance with unit needs. Requests such as "no 3 in a row" or "consecutive shift scheduling" will be considered but are not guaranteed.Minimum weekend requirement is 3 weekend shifts plus a Friday day (day travelers) or a Sunday night (night travelers). This is a minimum and may be adjusted per unit needs.Weekend shifts for day shift: Saturday and SundayWekend shifts for night shift: Friday and SaturdayBLS, PALS requiredACLS preferred2 years of experience required (must have 2 years of Peds Med/Surg experience at a Level l Trauma Center)First time travelers NOT accepted (unless they have 3+ years of experience at a Level l Trauma Center)Epic charting experience required100% NICOTINE FREE FACILITY***Holiday Requirement: Travelers must work 2/3 major holidays - please submit this request with applicationLocals Accepted: NO (candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility)Pending license accepted: Yes, but if license is not IN HAND at the time of submission then traveler will be booked six weeks out.Scrubs: MANDATORY - RNs wear Steele gray scrubs with the Nebraska Medicine logo printed on the back.
