Special Procedures/Unit Details : The Vascular Surgery Progressive Care Unit (7500 PCU) provides monitoring and treatment of adolescent and adult surgical patients (typical age range is 18+ required, at times we have provided care to <18 years old when surgical services are not available at pediatric hospital). Patients may include any patient who does not require ICU care, but who requires a higher level of care than that provided on a general nursing division. Out of 26 beds, we can take up to 6 PCU patients at one time. Each patient on PCU status will have Philips monitor wheeled into the room providing continuous ECG, RR, BP (external and arterial), and SpO2 to both the nursing staff on the floor and an external telemetry monitoring department. Advanced medication infusions include heparin, bivalrudin, alteplase, amiodarone, phenylephrine, & nicardipine.RATIOS: 1:3-1:5 depending on acuity Special Equipment : Philips monitorPrism total lift machineEKG**** We are looking for candidates who rate high for cardiac and vascular pre/post operative surgical services. Please screen if rates overall low: post cabg, abd & thoracic aortic aneurysm repair, Carotid endarterectomies and stents, periph vascular interventions and bypasses, angio and stents, thrombectomies, lower extremity amputations, lysis of DVTs #Tier2 Travel Compliance RTO Policy: Max of 7 days of RTO (7+ days requires manager approval, along with any holiday RTO). ALL RTO MUST BE FINALIZED AT TIME OF SUBMISSION No new RTO after submission. NO ADDITIONAL RTO OR SCHEDULE REQUESTS CAN BE REQUESTED POST SUBMISSION, POST OFFER OR POST START/ONSITE No RTO allowed the first week of an assignment. License Information: MO: Submit without license OK; requires MO or compact (no issuance if tied to another compact state). IL: License in hand required at time of submittal.
