N Who manages ventilators: Respiratory Therapy in conjunction with Pulmonary Critical Care physicians and Hospitalist service Unit Specific Procedures and Protocols: (For example: Drips; Infusions; Phlebotomy; Starting IVs EKGs; Transports; Weaning; Nebulizer to Inhaler; Starting IVs, performing venipuncture, Performing EKGs; Discontinuing sheaths) External transports for adult critical care patients. RT driven protocol for bronchodilator therapy, hyperinflation, airway clearance, and NIV therapy. Mechanical ventilation protocols used for ICU patients Additional Unit Specific Information: Requisition Comments and Notes:CRU- MUST START IN THE NEXT WEEK, LICENSE ON FILE AT TIME OF SUBMISSION- Rates are tiered based on mileage - measured by direct line not driving distance. Travel (101 miles+), Radius (51-100 miles), Local (50 miles or less)RRT: A minimum of every other weekend and/or schedule adjusted to meet the needs of the unit and patient care. Holidays are as needed. No specified scrub color. Patient population consists of all age groups - includes ICU and ED floors.
