Treatment includes the assessment, treatment, planning, implementation and communication related to a patient s progress.Responsibilities Provide direct patient care within the assigned are of the hospital. Evaluate needs and tracking outcome or progress. Consult with others as needed. Document progress and discharge summaries of patients according to department policy. Track statistics and maintain treatment records according to the department policy. Work with members of the therapy team to coordinate therapeutic services for individual patients. Practices established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Work with family members to ensure they can support therapy outside of hospital to the extent it is needed. Design services and procedures to meet the needs of the infant, pediatric, and adolescent patient population. Performs other duties as requested. Schedule Notes:DAYS - 5x8 - Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00amSkills: Knowledge and Skills: Enhance professional growth and development of self and others through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops. Keeps up to date on current professional literature.Licenses, Certifications: New York State license in Physical Therapy and current NYS Registration. CPR certification.Physical Requirements: Position requires prolonged periods of standing, reaching, walking throughout the working day. Position will be required to stoops, bends, lifts, carry items weighing up to 75 pounds. Education: QualificationsEducation: Bachelor s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
