Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient / Ambulatory Care – Contract Facility: Mount Sinai Hospital – New York City Location: 10 Union Square East, New York, NY 10003 Schedule: 3x12 shifts | 40 hours/week Contract Dates: 08/31/2026 – 10/31/2026
Key Responsibilities
Provide safe, high-quality outpatient and ambulatory nursing care to assigned patients.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
Deliver evidence-based nursing interventions and evaluate patient outcomes.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care.
Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, medications, health promotion, and disease prevention.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in EPIC and according to regulatory standards.
Support patient flow, discharge planning, and continuity of care in the outpatient setting.
Promote a positive patient experience through professional communication, compassion, and relationship-centered care.
Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
Assist with unit operations, resource utilization, and charge nurse duties as assigned.
Requirements
Active New York State RN license.
BLS (AHA) certification required.
ACLS (AHA) certification required.
Minimum 2 years of recent hospital outpatient/ambulatory RN experience.
Minimum 2 years of RN experience overall.
EPIC experience highly preferred.
Travel experience preferred for travel contract candidates.
Education
BSN preferred.
Associate Degree in Nursing accepted with relevant experience and/or active enrollment in a BSN program.
