Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient / Ambulatory Care – Contract Facility: Mount Sinai Hospital – New York City Location: 10 Union Square East, New York, NY 10003 Schedule: 3x12 shifts | 40 hours/week Contract Dates: 08/31/2026 – 10/31/2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality outpatient and ambulatory nursing care to assigned patients.

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.

• Deliver evidence-based nursing interventions and evaluate patient outcomes.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care.

• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, medications, health promotion, and disease prevention.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in EPIC and according to regulatory standards.

• Support patient flow, discharge planning, and continuity of care in the outpatient setting.

• Promote a positive patient experience through professional communication, compassion, and relationship-centered care.

• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based practice initiatives.

• Assist with unit operations, resource utilization, and charge nurse duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Active New York State RN license.

• BLS (AHA) certification required.

• ACLS (AHA) certification required.

• Minimum 2 years of recent hospital outpatient/ambulatory RN experience.

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience overall.

• EPIC experience highly preferred.

• Travel experience preferred for travel contract candidates.

Education

• BSN preferred.

• Associate Degree in Nursing accepted with relevant experience and/or active enrollment in a BSN program.
