    Position Overview

    One of our Partners in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Neuro Critical Care APP (NP or PA) for inpatient-only maternity leave coverage. This assignment offers a flexible schedule, no call, and full intensivist support on all shifts.

    • Pay ranking: Top 15% nationally for Neuro Critical Care APP locums (2026 market data)

    • Contract length: ~6 months

    Assignment Highlights

    • Inpatient Neuro Critical Care / Stroke service

    • No call requirements

    • Flexible scheduling model

    • Intensivist and APP coverage on all shifts

    • Average census: 8–20 patients depending on shift

    • No trauma-level experience required

    Job Responsibilities

    • Provide inpatient Neuro Critical Care and Stroke coverage

    • Perform required bedside procedures independently

    • Collaborate closely with intensivists and multidisciplinary teams

    • Manage critically ill neurological patients in an ICU setting

    • Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards

    Skills & Experience

    • NP or PA with Neuro Critical Care or ICU experience

    • Comfortable managing high-acuity inpatient populations

    • Required procedures:

      • Central lines

      • Arterial lines

      • Midlines

      • Lumbar punctures

    • New Jersey license highly preferred at submission
