Description

This is a RN Travel position. You must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered for this position.

Observation Unit Registered Nurse

Shift Details

4x12.0 hour shifts
Days, Evening, Nights, Rotating Shift Schedules
On Call, Call Back
Charge responsibilities
Holidays and Weekends as needed

Job Duties

Care for adult patients needing additional observation to determine if the patient's condition is serious enough for admission to the hospital or if the patient can be treated and released home safely
Work in a very fast paced environment that turns over 20 to 27 patients per day, with an average length of stay of 27 hours
Provide care with 24/7 provider coverage support
Care for a diverse adult population of both emergency observation and admitted boarding patients
Manage patients ranging from short stay to full admissions

Job Requirements

RN License (NY License ONLY)
Two years of Med/Surg Experience
Telemetry Required

Certifications

BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
ACLS (AHA ONLY)
NIHSS (Preferred)
