* * RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated * * **CHEMO CERT REQUIRED* Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. **Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.** **Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract • specific patient types/diagnoses - Oncology PCU and Trauma PCU o if they want specific oncology experience for this floor - chemotherapy certified preferred o how many years of experience they require: 1 year o ok with first time travelers yes • for the charge- is this experience required, if so how long yes minimum 1 year • How many beds 28 • What ratios do they run 1:4 PCU 1:5 med/surg its a mixed unit • More specific patient diagnoses commonly seen : oncology and trauma • Do travelers need specific oncology experience or is PCU experience okay? oncology and PCU exp • Are RNs required to titrate drips: insulin occasionally cardizem • What are common titratable and/or set rate drips o • Is BLS and ACLS required yes • What RT equipment do they see on this floor for traveler awareness • Where will PCU- Oncology travelers float to med/surg and PCU units • How much orientation will they receive 2 days Due At Submit: DOB SSN Phone Email Perm Address Have they had EPIC w/in 6 months (not a deal breaker just need to know for orientation) Have they worked for CHI or Dignity in any capacity RTO needed upfront (7 or less days required per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved including after submission PCU and MedSurg Unit: 6 East Level of care: PCU, Oncology and MedSurg Number of beds: 27 Patient population: Adults RN Ratio (Days): 1 RN to 4 PCU, 1 to 5 M/S RN Ratio (Nights): 1 RN to 5-6 patients Shifts: 12 hour Shift times: 7a-7p, 7a-3p, 3p-7p, 7p-11p, 11p-7a, 7p-7a Weekend requirements: Every other weekend Self schedule Scrubs: Navy Blue Nursing Assistant support: Yes Charge nurse: yes Hands free: n/a Additional unit support staff: PT/OT, RN case manager, social work, educator, dietician Common Patient Diagnosis: Oncology Common Drips/Medications: chemotherapy, heparin, cardizem, protonix Required certs: ACLS, BLS,ONS/ONCC Other needed competencies: Ventilator, other hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000), ICP- all can train real time EMR: EPIC IV Pumps: Alaris Specialty Equipment Available: Lyko lifts in even rooms. Other lift equipment available.
