Department: Cath Lab Tech *Certifications: ARRT or RCIS registered, BLS* NO CLINICAL INVOLVEMENT Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. **Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract **Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.** - # of suites/labs: 1 - #cases per day on average: 1-3 - Required Certifications: ARRT or RCIS registered, BLS - Experience or 'Must have' skills: cath lab experience, doing left heart caths, stent placement, ICD, Pacemaker, etc. - Common diagnoses/Types of patients: CAD, AMI, IP and OP adults - Job Duties: cath lab, scrub to assist MD, monitoring/documentation case - # Years Experience Required: 1 - Is previous travel experience required?: No, preferred - EMR/Equipment: EPIC, siemens cath, siemens sensis, Apollo, Phillips IVUS - Cardiologist hours/on call: - Is there a manager/Charge Nurse on each shift?: Supervisor in lab - Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: NA - Shifts & Scheduling Details: 0730-1600 - Do you allow self-scheduling or Block scheduling?: No, set daily schedule. Can self schedule on call to a degree. - Weeknight/Call Requirements: Yes, 1-2 nights/wk Call covers 3 campuses - Weekend/Call Requirements: yes, 1 weekend/month - Holiday/Call Requirements: yes, rotating - What is call response time?: 30 minutes - Floating Requirements: Yes, as needed - will float to Lakeside & Immanuel (Omaha) - Scrub Color/Dress Code: hospital supplied scrubs - How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: traveler will be oriented to the 3 campuses, each campus will be 1-3 days It would be rare to be called from Mercy to Lakeside Hospital while on call for the purposes of a stat exam. The call team covers those three campuses after hours and weekends. They would most likely be home (or at least off campus) when they receive emergent calls. Ideally they would live centrally located between the three campuses. We understand that will be very difficult. We do expect they are within the 30 min response time of their "home" campus and understand it may be slightly longer for the other campuses. As far as how often? It varies. In the last 30 days or so there were 8 call backs for that team. It's possible to be on most of those or none of those cases depending on if you were on at that time.
