Position: Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Location: City, State

Shift Information:

• Day 4x10-Hour (06:30 - 17:00)
• Day 3x12-Hour (11:30 - 23:30)

Requirements:

• 2 years of Operating Room Registered Nurse experience.
• Experience in Level 1 trauma centers.
• Extensive scrub experience.
• Certification in BLS.

Preferred Experience:

• ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat)
• GU (Genitourinary)
• Plastics
• Burns

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care during a variety of surgical procedures.
• Circulate and scrub, with a focus on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery cases.
• Work collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain patient records utilizing EPIC software.

Work Environment:

• Level 1 Trauma Operating Room with 18 beds.
• Daily census of 45-50 surgical procedures.
• Specialties include, but are not limited to: General Surgery, Robotic Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery, Trauma, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Spinal Surgery, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant.

Scheduling Details:

• Floating to different units may be required as needed.
• Call hours may be required during weekdays and weekends.
• 3 weekend shifts required per 13-week contract as needed.
• Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 request allowed.

Equipment specific to various surgical specialties will be utilized.
