Position:
Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location:
Beachside, [City, State]
Shift:
Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:30)
Job Summary:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing nuclear medicine techniques. The ideal candidate will have experience in a community hospital setting and possess the necessary skills to conduct a variety of tests while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Required Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine technology
- Current BLS certification
- ARRT certification (preferred)
- Proficient in charting with Epic
Essential Skills:
- Bone Scan
- 3 Phase, Limited, Whole Body
- Shunt Studies
- Myocardial Imaging
- Adenosine Infusion and Exercise/Rest Protocols
- SPECT Imaging for various organs (Bone, Brain, Liver, Renal, Thyroid)
- Cancer Survey and Renal Function Studies
- Lymphoscintigraphy and Gastric Emptying Studies
Work Environment:
The technologist will operate in a hospital setting with a focus on adult and geriatric patient care.
Call Requirements:
On-call coverage is required during the following hours:
- Weekdays: 4 PM - 11 PM
- Weekends/Holidays: 7 AM - 11 PM
Patient Ratios:
- Days: 1:2
- Nights: 1:1
- Weekends: 1:1
Additional Information:
Weekend availability is mandatory. The candidate must be capable of performing lymphoscintigraphy studies. Candidates with community hospital experience are preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with interdisciplinary teams are essential.
