Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our outpatient facility in [City, State]. This position offers a day shift of 5 eight-hour workdays per week, from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM. We welcome new graduates and first-time applicants.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Valid certification in CNMT, NMTCB, or ARRT is required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Advanced ARRT certification is preferred.
• AMA radiologic technology training is required.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine procedures including SPECT scanning for bone, brain, liver, and renal assessments.
• Conduct specialized tests such as Sestamibi parathyroid scans and myocardial perfusion imaging.
• Administer pharmacological stress tests using Lexiscan.
• Draw venous blood as needed.
• Utilize various imaging equipment including GE, Phillips, and Siemens systems.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in SPECT and PET scanning techniques.
• Ability to perform EKGs and myocardial imaging procedures.
• Keen attention to detail and strong patient care abilities.
• Experience with electronic charting systems, specifically EPIC.

Patient Care

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for working with adult and geriatric patient populations. A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care is essential.

Work Environment

This role is within an outpatient facility. Scrubs of any color are acceptable, promoting a comfortable working environment. There is no weekend or on-call requirement for this position, and candidates will not be expected to float between units.

Orientation

Successful candidates will undergo a 40-hour orientation program to familiarize themselves with facility protocols and patient care standards.
