Description
Position: MRI Tech
Location: Ohio
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled MRI Tech with a robust background in neuro, abdominal, and musculoskeletal imaging. This role emphasizes weekend night shifts and supports both inpatient and outpatient imaging, primarily focusing on oncology cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI scans across various body parts including, but not limited to, abdomen, female pelvis, male pelvis, brain, and spine.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in providing high-quality patient care.
- Ensure the proper preparation and administration of contrast media.
- Utilize PACS and Siemens equipment while maintaining accurate imaging records.
- Handle daily caseloads of 35-40 MRI studies.
Shift Details:
Schedule: Block schedule, Friday to Sunday
Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required.
- ARRT certification and BLS certification are mandatory.
- Valid Ohio State License is required.
Preferred Experience:
- Teaching hospital experience.
- Experience in Trauma Level I facilities.
- Familiarity with a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in imaging procedures including abdominal, male and female pelvis, chest, brain, face/neck, and musculoskeletal areas (hip, knee, shoulder).
- Expertise in special imaging procedures such as Gradient Echo Imaging, Image Post-Processing, Maximum Intensity Projection, and Spectroscopy.
- Ability to start peripheral IVs and perform EKGs as needed.
Department Information:
Average Daily Census: 35–40 cases per day
Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
Documentation: Experience with electronic documentation systems such as EPIC is a plus.
Additional Information:
This position requires flexibility, with a commitment to weekend work and a full-time workload. Candidates must possess knowledge and experience with Siemens MRI equipment.
