Position: Radiation Therapist

We are seeking a qualified Radiation Therapist to join our outpatient cancer care team. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with patients in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Lacey, WA

Shift:

Day Shift, 5x8 Hours (08:30 - 17:00)

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation treatments to adult patients with various diagnoses, including but not limited to benign and malignant tumors.
• Utilize advanced treatment techniques such as Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), and Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT).
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care and treatment planning.
• Conduct patient chart checks and utilize the charting system, Epic, for documentation.
• Prepare treatment setups and utilize specialized equipment, including ARIA, TrueBeam, and Varian 21ex/ix.
• Maintain radiation safety protocols and ensure compliance with professional standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist is required.
• Current BLS certification.
• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy.
• Active Washington State license.
• Ability to float between like units as necessary.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with various treatment types, including external beam therapy, patient positioning, and custom molds.
• Familiarity with billing for treatment types and devices.
• Skills in imaging techniques such as CBCT and kV/mV imaging.
• Experience administering treatments for conditions such as prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Patient Demographics:

Majority of caseload will involve treating adults, with an average daily patient load of 50-60.

Additional Information:

All requests for time off must be included in the initial application submission. No weekend shifts are required. Floating between similar units is an expected part of this role.
