Cath Lab Tech Job Opportunity

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cath Lab Tech to join our team in Eureka, CA. This full-time position involves working in a fast-paced, acute care environment, focusing on diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab.

Schedule

Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (06:30 - 17:00)
Call Required: Yes (up to 4 days a week, varies depending on need)
Weekend Shifts: Up to 2 weekends in a 6-week schedule

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Tech
Preferred: Community hospital experience
Certifications:
- ACLS
- BLS
- ARRT Certification in Radiography (preferred)
- Fluoroscopy Permit
- RCIS Certification (acceptable with 5+ years of experience)

Key Responsibilities

The Cath Lab Tech will be responsible for:

Accurate monitoring of patients during procedures
Setting up equipment and maintaining a sterile field
Performing a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures, including but not limited to:
- Coronary Stenting
- Diagnostic Catheterizations
- Hemodynamic Monitoring
- Impella Insertions
- Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
- Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
- Permanent Pacemaker Insertions
- Right and Left Heart Catheterizations
- Various vascular studies and intervention techniques

Work Environment

Daily Caseload: 4-8 patients
Number of Cath Lab Rooms: 2
Interdisciplinary support from various healthcare professionals including Physical Therapy, Radiology, and Pharmacy
Charting System: Epic
