Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist with a focus on Neuro and Stroke procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both Neuro and Body procedures within the Interventional Radiology specialty.

Job Details

• Travel Experience Required: Yes
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hours (07:30 - 18:00)
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Interventional Radiology
• Scrub Experience: Minimum 1 year in scrub procedures, specifically in Neuro
• Call Requirement: Yes; weekends and evenings/nights in rotation
• Preferred Experience: Trauma Level I, Teaching and Community Hospital settings
• Patient Age Groups: Primarily adults and geriatrics, with some adolescents

Certifications

• Required:
  • BLS
  • ARRT Certification
• Preferred: ARRT Advanced Certification

Essential Skills

The following skills are crucial for this position:

• Venous access and management, including central venous access (non-tunneled/PICC lines)
• Angioplasty and stent placement
• Specific experience in neurological studies and procedures, including:
• Carotid angiography
• Embolization
• Thrombectomy and thrombolysis
• Vertebroplasty
• Gastrostomy tube placement and abdominal procedures
• Maintenance of sterile field during scrub procedures

Equipment Experience

Familiarity with the following equipment is preferred:

• Siemens and Philips imaging systems
• PACS for imaging and data management

Schedule and Orientation

The schedule will consist of a staggered start time between 07:00 and 08:30 for 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Orientation is mandatory and will take place in the first week of employment.
