Shift:

Day shift, 5x8 Hour schedule (Monday - Friday, 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM; Wednesday only 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM). Flexibility to cover 12:30 PM - 08:30 PM shift as needed.

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in MRI technology is required.
• Preferred experience in community hospital settings.
• Trauma Level I and II experience is preferred.

Certifications Required:

• ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• MRI Certification (preferred)
• State License (must be obtained upon start)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of MRI procedures including but not limited to abdomen, pelvis, spine, and brain scans.
• Execute advanced imaging techniques such as MRA, MRV, MRCP, and CINE studies.
• Coordinate and manage patient care in accordance with safety and isolation precautions.
• Prepare and administer contrast media as necessary.
• Maintain patient records using preferred charting system, Epic.
• Support interdisciplinary collaboration with the radiology team.

Patient Care:

• Provide care for patients across various age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
• Maintain a patient-to-technologist ratio of 1:2 during days and 1:1 during nights.
• Handle approximately 20 patient visits per day.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in using GE MRI equipment and PACS systems.
• Experience with various imaging modalities including diffusion imaging, spectroscopy, and multiplanar reconstruction.
• Familiar with radiation safety standards and protocols related to MRI procedures.

Work Environment:

• Engage in adult acute care, ICU, outpatient, and trauma settings.
• Working with a capacity of 120 beds and necessary support equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
