Position Title: Cath Lab Tech

Location:

Unit Description:

Shift Details:

Day Shift: 4 x 10 Hours (06:00 - 16:00)

Weekend shifts are not required.

Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Active Radiology Technologist license from another state, with application for an Oregon License from the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging.
• Fluoroscopy operation requires a valid Oregon license.

Certifications:

• ACLS
• ARRT and OBMI Licensure
• BLS
• CCI RCIS (preferred)

Skills Required:

• Accurate monitoring of patients
• Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Room circulator and maintaining a sterile field during procedures

  • IVC Filter Placement
  • Liver Biopsy
  • Mesenteric Angiogram
  • Paracentesis
  • Radioembolization
  • Stent Placement
  • Thoracentesis
• Vascular Studies/Procedures:
  • Angioplasty
  • Carotid Stenting
  • Central Venous Access/Port Placement
  • Dialysis Graft Creation/Revision
  • Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy
  • TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt)
  • Upper and Lower Extremity Angiography
• Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures:
  • ASD Closures
  • Cardiac Stent Placement
  • ECMO
  • Impella Insertion
  • Left and Right Heart Catheterization
  • Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
  • Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
  • Temporary Pacemaker (preferred)
  • Transcatheter Aortic Valve implantation/Replacement (TAVI/TAVR) (preferred)
• Neurological Procedures:
  • Carotid Angiography
  • Discogram
  • Embolization
  • Stent Placement
  • Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy
  • Vertebroplasty
• Electrophysiology Studies:
  • Insertion/Programming of AICDs (preferred)

Patient Demographics:

• Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
• Daily Census: 25 patients

Special Equipment:

Experience as a CVL Radiology Technologist is required.
