Work Environment

Setting includes a Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab performing a combination of interventional radiology (IR), cardiology, vascular, and electrophysiology (EP) procedures.

Scheduling Details

• Weekly call requirement: Yes, every third week on a Monday to Monday basis for urgent/emergent procedures.
• Weekend coverage: Every third weekend.
• Pre-Approved Time Off: 2 requests are allowed.

Patient Demographics

Patients are primarily adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Unit Orientation

Total orientation time ranges from 40 to 80 hours on the unit.

• GE Innova IR Lab
• GE MacLab
• Maquet Intra Aortic Balloon Pump
• Medtronic/Boston Scientific/CSI Atherectomy
• Boston Scientific Angiojet
• Philips Ultrasound/IVUS/IFR
• Pneumbra Thrombosis Device

Additional Notes

Medication administration is performed by RN only. It is important to note that RTO after booking is not allowed. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit may result in cancellation. Candidates must start directly on the unit on Mondays until completing their dimensions training.
