Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience and a strong proficiency in a variety of echocardiography techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform 2-D and 3-D echocardiograms
- Conduct bubble studies, color Doppler imaging, and pharmacologic stress echo
- Execute transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and treadmill stress echo
- Utilize and interpret calculations such as Simpson’s Rule and diastology
- Work with advanced imaging equipment including GE, Philips, and Siemens
Work Schedule
The position requires a day shift of 5x8 hours, from 07:00 to 15:00. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, with an average of 12 weekend shifts per contract.
Patient Care
This role involves caring for adults and geriatric patients, with an average daily census of 10 exams per shift. The ideal candidate should be comfortable interacting with diverse patient populations and managing various patient diagnoses.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in echocardiography
- Certifications: ARDMS, BLS, CCI RCS (preferred)
- Skills:
- Proficiency in adult acute care and outpatient settings
- Familiarity with Emergency Department and ICU environments
- Charting System: Experience with any charting system is required

Uniform Requirements
The dress code for the department requires solid navy blue uniforms or scrub attire for licensed personnel. Unlicensed personnel should wear solid hunter green uniforms or scrub attire. Print tops are not permitted except in designated areas such as the Children's Hospital.

Free parking is available in any unrestricted space. Employees can park in surface parking lots designated as 'Employee/Visitor Parking.'
