Position: Registered Nurse - Cath Lab

Location: Eureka, CA

Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (06:30 - 19:00)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab setting. This position will involve working with patients undergoing procedures related to coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cardiac arrhythmias.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Monitor patient conditions before, during, and after procedures.
• Administer medications and procedural sedation, ensuring patient safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care.
• Maintain competence in specialized nursing skills related to cardiac procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in the Cath Lab.
• Active RN license in the state of California or pending state license accepted.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
• Knowledge of Epic charting system preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with activated clotting time (ACT).
• Expertise in caring for patients undergoing angioplasty and interventional catheterizations.
• Familiarity with electrophysiology procedures and the insertion of pacemakers.
• Ability to perform vascular closure systems and sheath removal.

Work Environment

This role is primarily based in a state-of-the-art Cath Lab equipped to handle diagnostic procedures and interventions. Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1:1. The Cath Lab may require participation in weekend coverage with call responsibilities.
