Position: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Shift Details

• Night Shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00)
• Weekend Flexibility Required

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Certifications Required:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NRP
  • AWHONN Advanced (preferred; or C-EFM)

Skills Required

• Labor and Delivery Management
• Circulation and recovery for cesarean sections
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency care
• Telemetry interpretation (preferred)

Patient Care Details

• Experience with low and high-risk labor patients
• Competency in caring for antepartum patients with multiples, hypertensive disorders, diabetic conditions, and multiple system issues
• Ability to manage labor patients with various health disorders

Unit Details

• Daily Census: 210-240 births per month
• Number of Visits Per Day: 10
• Number of Rooms: 22
• Number of Beds: 21

• Pharmacy
• Unit Secretary

Special Procedures

• Circulate and recover cesarean sections, postpartum D&C
• Precepting experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to float to postpartum and mother-baby units
• Experience with newborn care
• Comfortable setting up delivery tables and performing non-stress tests

Additional Information

• Flexible scheduling with potential block scheduling at the manager's discretion
• Guaranteed hours may include a call-off period once every two weeks
