Qualifications

• Required:
  • Flu vaccination (no declination/no exemption)
  • Certifications: RPSGT, RCP, State License, BLS (AHA or ARC)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with polysomnography and home sleep study scoring
• Preferred:
  • EEG certification
  • Experience with charting systems, specifically Epic

Responsibilities

• Work under the direct supervision of the sleep medicine physician to prepare and conduct sleep studies.
• Support patients with positive airway pressure-related issues.
• Oversee home sleep study logistics, including setup and scoring of home sleep testing devices.
• Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to meet individual patient needs.
• Determine testing parameters in conjunction with the ordering physician or clinical director.
• Explain procedures and orient patients for sleep testing.
• Select and calibrate the appropriate testing equipment, ensuring proper functioning and making adjustments as necessary.
• Apply electrodes and sensors following accepted standards.
• Perform data acquisition while monitoring study quality to ensure signals are artifact-free.
• Identify, correct, and document artifacts and significant clinical events during the study.
• Provide patient education and instruction tailored for sleep testing.
