Position: Radiation Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team. This position is based in a vibrant healthcare setting with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.

Key Details:

• Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (11:00 AM - 7:30 PM) - Monday to Friday
• Orientation Hours: 40
• Expected Weekly Hours: 40
• Dress Code: Scrubs (black pants, any top)

Requirements:

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years; 5 years preferred
• Teaching Hospital Experience: Preferred
• Certifications:
• ARRT Radiation Therapy (RT) and/or Radiography (R)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Ohio State License
• Skills:
• Competence in Varian TrueBeam linacs, Halcyon, and Aria version 15
• Experience with Vision RT or OSMS is preferred
• Knowledge of dosimetry and emergency procedures

Patient Care:

The Radiation Therapist will provide treatment to a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Exposure to various patient diagnoses is preferred, including:

• Neonates and Infants
• Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
• Kidney Cancer
• Leukemia
• Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
• Pancreatic Cancer
• Pediatric Cancer
• Testicular Cancer

Treatment Experience:

Preferred experience in treating conditions such as:

• Benign Brain Tumors
• Craniospinal Irradiation
• Graves Disease
• Heterotopic Bone Treatment
• Keloids
• Prophylactic Treatments
• Prostate Cancer with Seeds/Fiducials
• Stereotactic Radiosurgery
• Total Body Irradiation
• Total Skin Irradiation

Work Environment:

The position will primarily involve working in adult acute care, outpatient settings, as well as pediatric and geriatric care environments. The ability to carry out treatment effectively using advanced technology and collaborative skills is essential.
