Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for evaluating patient needs and providing assistance to physicians in delivering patient care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care tailored to patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs and establish priorities for care through comprehensive assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans for assigned patients, utilizing both initial and ongoing assessments.
• Conduct patient assessments based on identified problems or needs, physicians’ medical diagnoses, and functional health frameworks.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions to enhance patient outcomes.
• Manage and coordinate overall patient care effectively.
• Document nursing care in accordance with established standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice standards and support the adoption of innovative care delivery methods.
• Provide patient-centered care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
• Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Experience in critical care is highly preferred.
• Prior experience with EPIC and Sensis systems is highly preferred.

Education

Required Education

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) is required.

Preferred Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

Certifications & Licensure

Required Certifications & Licensure

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• BLS-AHA certification.
• ACLS-AHA certification.
• Telemetry certification.
