Position: Registered Nurse - Operating Room

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Shift Options:

• Day 3x12-Hour: 07:00 - 19:30
• Day 4x10-Hour: 06:00 - 23:00

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• Experience in circulating and scrubbing surgical procedures.
• Experience with the EPIC charting system is mandatory.
• Oncology experience is preferred.
• Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
• Travel experience is required.

• Gynecology:
  • Abdominal/Vaginal hysterectomy
  • Anterior/Posterior Repair (Colporrhaphy)
  • Dilation & Curettage
  • Laparoscopic assisted gynecological procedures
  • Vulvectomy
• Plastic Surgery:

  • Breast augmentation

  • Free Flap - Microvascular
  • Mastectomy with tram flap reconstruction
• General Surgery:
  • Appendectomy

  • Whipple procedure
• Robotic Surgery:
  • Gynecologic robotic surgery
  • Da Vinci Xi and SP Surgical Systems
  • Colorectal robotic surgery
• Emergency Management:
  • Code response and emergency procedures
  • Fire and latex allergy safety
• Additional Skills:
  • Scrub/Circulate experience
  • Strong infection control knowledge

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a day/evening rotating schedule.
• Assist with both circulating and scrubbing duties as required.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records using EPIC.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Work Environment:

The position supports a daily census of approximately 45 patients across 20 surgical rooms. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics, with a focus on oncology and complex surgical cases.

Weekend Coverage:

Weekend coverage is required on an alternating basis, with variable weekend shifts per contract.
