Position: Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians in providing high-quality patient care. This role requires a commitment to delivering individualized nursing care based on patients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and document nursing care tailored to each patient's needs.
• Identify patient needs and prioritize care through thorough assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans based on initial and ongoing assessments.
• Initiate assessments informed by the patient’s issues or needs, physician’s medical diagnosis, and functional health framework.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions to enhance patient recovery and wellbeing.
• Manage care for patients effectively and compassionately.
• Document nursing care in accordance with established standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for and implement evidence-based practice care standards, promoting innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care aligned with professional nursing practice models.
• Fulfill additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Mother-Baby nursing required, including care for newborns.

Required Education:

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required.

Preferred Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
• New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required.

Schedule Notes:

This position is seeking labor and delivery nurses as well as special care nursery nurses. Preferred candidates will have experience caring for well newborns in a special care nursery or NICU environment.
