Position: Registered Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians in providing high-quality patient care.

Job Summary

• Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.
• Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on the patient’s individual needs.
• Identify patient needs and establish priorities for care through comprehensive assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans based on initial and ongoing assessments of assigned patients.
• Initiate assessments based on patient problems, physician medical diagnoses, and the functional health framework.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions.
• Manage patient care effectively and efficiently.
• Document care in accordance with established standards of practice, considering patient acuity and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of innovative care delivery practices.
• Provide patient-centric care that aligns with professional nursing practice models.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related specialty.

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Schedule

Shifts are scheduled from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required. At least one holiday per season is expected. This role does not require on-call duties. The assignment duration is a minimum of 13 weeks, with 1-2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required. BLS, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are mandatory. Experience in Mother/Baby and/or Nursery is preferred.

This position is in a Labor, Delivery, Postpartum Recovery (LDPR) Unit, where both mother/baby and Labor & Delivery services are provided. Patient ratios are as follows:

• Mother/Baby: 1 nurse to 3-4 patients
• Labor patients: 1 nurse to 2 patients
