Duration of Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience required, with specific experience in Operating Room settings preferred. Travel experience is not required but may be considered based on type of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Community Hospital Experience
• Certifications:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS

Required Skills

• Experience in General Operating Room settings.
• Proficient in:
  • Colonoscopy
  • EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy)
  • Laparoscopic-assisted procedures
  • Appendectomy
  • Cholecystectomy
  • Colon Resection
  • Hernia Repair (inguinal/umbilical)
  • Abdominal and Vaginal Hysterectomy
  • Bilateral Tubal Ligation
  • C-sections (Cesarean sections)
  • Dilation & Curettage
  • Cataract Extraction/Implant
  • Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction
  • Closed and Open Reduction of Fractures

Additional Skills

• Experience with Electrosurgical Units
• Cardiac Monitoring
• Conscious Sedation Monitoring
• Infection Control
• Universal Protocol (Time Out) Procedure
• Urinary Bladder Catheterization
• PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Recovery

Patient Care

Patient Ratios: 1:1

Daily Census: Approximately 10 patients with a monthly volume of 10 visits.

• Ophthalmic Patients
• GYN/OB Cases

Equipment and Supplies

• Stryker Orthopedic Equipment
• Olympus Laparoscopic Equipment
• Fuji Endoscopy System

Unit Orientation

24 hours of orientation required.

Scrubs are provided.

Call Requirements

Call may be required as needed.

Weekend Coverage

Every other weekend coverage is expected.
