Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Step Down Unit. This role involves providing quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, alongside a supportive interdisciplinary team.
Key Details

- Float Requirement: Yes, must float between units
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
- Orientation Hours: 40 hours
Experience and Qualifications
- Years of Experience: 1 year
- Patient Ratio Experience: 1:4
- Certifications (preferred):
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Skills (preferred):
- IV therapy/Phlebotomy
- Blood Product Administration
- Central and Peripheral Line Care/Management
- PICC line management
- Starting and maintaining IVs
Patient Care Responsibilities
- Provide care in various settings including Cardiac Telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown.
- Administer and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (Titrating these drips is a HARDSTOP requirement).
- Continuous monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
- Provide care and management for renal patients, including pre/post-hemodialysis management.
- Manage patients with neurological and psychiatric diagnoses.
- Responsible for wound care and isolation precautions as necessary.
- Participate in the use of Rapid Response and Code teams.

- Patient Diagnoses: Focus on renal care.
- Special Procedures: Peritoneal dialysis performed at bedside by the dialysis team.
Dress Code
The dress code for licensed nursing personnel requires solid navy blue uniforms or scrub attire, with no print tops allowed except in designated units.
