Description
Position Overview
This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to both inpatient and outpatient populations within the Radiology Department. The successful candidate will utilize skills such as assessment, communication, teaching, leadership, and management to ensure comprehensive patient nursing care across various radiological services, including Diagnostic Radiology, Special Procedures, Fluoroscopy, Computed Tomography, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer nursing care during radiological procedures and manage unexpected emergencies that may arise.
- Develop clinical protocols, policies, and procedures related to radiological interventional procedures, patient monitoring, and drug administration.
- Ensure adherence to the patient's bill of rights and collaborate with additional resources to provide personalized care.
- Coordinate total nursing care for patients, engaging in patient and family education.
- Collaborate effectively with ancillary nursing and other patient care teams to uphold professional nursing standards within the clinical environment.
Patient Population
Adult and geriatric patients.
Work Schedule
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
Dress Code
Professional scrubs (provided by the traveler, must have no logos).
Electronic Medical Records
Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of current experience in Critical Care, ICU, ER, or PACU.
- Active New Hampshire RN License or Compact must be uploaded with the profile.
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification.
- Interventional Radiology experience is preferred, or experience in Conscious/Moderate Sedation.
- Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
- The traveler must possess a personal vehicle for this assignment.
Orientation
Non-billable orientation will be provided.
