Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled MS/Tele Registered Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a cardiac unit while managing complex health needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac patients with a focus on dysrhythmia interpretation and management.
• Administer IV therapy and manage peripheral lines, including PICC and central lines.
• Respond to rapid response and code team activations promptly.
• Utilize isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Provide non-invasive airway management and oxygen administration.
• Document all patient care accurately using Epic charting system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including IV, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more.

Patient Demographics

The registered nurse will primarily engage with adult and geriatric populations in a 19-bed unit.

Patient Care Ratios

Day and evening shifts maintain a patient ratio of 5 to 1 (stretching to 6-7), while night shifts have an expected ratio of 6-7 to 1 (stretching to 8-10 if needed).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience in a similar role is required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; NIHSS certification is preferred.
• Experience in a teaching hospital is preferred.
• Must be able to float among similar units as needed.

Additional Information

This position requires 16 hours of orientation. Weekend shifts are required every other week (EOW). Locals are not accepted within a 75-mile radius, and the maximum allowable request time off (RTO) is one week during the contract period.

Any combination of navy and white is acceptable for scrubs.
