Job Summary

The Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in the evaluation and care of patients, assisting physicians in delivering high-quality care. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, planning and implementing nursing interventions, and documenting care effectively based on established standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop, implement, and document individualized plans of care based on their needs.
• Prioritize patient care through thorough assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Initiate assessments considering the patient’s problems or needs, physician’s medical diagnosis, and functional health framework.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage overall patient care.
• Document care in alignment with standards of practice and patient acuity.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice standards and support the adoption of innovative patient care strategies.
• Provide patient-centered care consistent with professional nursing practice models.
• Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a related specialty.

Education Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

Certifications & Licensure

• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (BLS-AHA) certification required.
• New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.

Preferred Certifications & Licensure

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Advanced AWHONN or Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM).

Work Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week.
• Every other weekend required.
• Three out of six holidays required.
• No on-call requirement.
• Facility operates in a postpartum, antepartum, labor, and nursery setting (LDRP), allowing for flexibility in assignments based on patient care needs.
