Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Nurse with circulating experience to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in a variety of surgical cases and will be responsible for ensuring optimal patient care in the operating room.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care during surgical procedures.
• Assist the surgical team by performing circulating duties.
• Prepare the operating room and equipment for various surgical interventions.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in the operating room.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Schedule Requirements

• Available for 8-hour or 10-hour shifts.
• Weekend availability necessary, with requirements every 5th or 6th weekend.
• Ability to work 6-7 shifts on call per month.

Qualifications

• Must have experience as a Circulating Nurse in the operating room.
• Scrub experience is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in the following surgical cases is required:
  • General Surgery
  • Obstetrics
  • Orthopedics
  • Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT)
  • Trauma
  • Plastic Surgery
  • Ophthalmology
• Previous travel nursing experience is highly preferred.

Certification and Licensure

• Active certifications from the American Heart Association are required:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
• Current state nursing license is required; Compact Licensure is permitted.
• All licenses and certifications must be valid at the time of application.

Location

Position based in New Hampshire.
