Position Overview

Join our team in a Level 1 Trauma Operating Room that features 18 beds. We conduct a wide range of surgical procedures, including General Surgery, Robotic Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery, Trauma Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Spinal surgery, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant.

Shift Details

• Day 4x10-Hour: 06:30 - 17:00
• Night 3x12-Hour: 19:00 - 06:30

This is a variable shift position with the potential for day/evening hours, including 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts. Call coverage is required during weekdays and weekends as outlined below:

• Monday - Friday: 21:00 - 06:30
• Saturday and Sunday: 06:30 - 19:00 and 19:00 - 06:30

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care during surgical procedures.
• Circulate, focusing primarily on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery cases.
• Collaboration with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and successful outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the EPIC system.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse.
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center is preferred.
• Current certifications in BLS and EPIC are required.

• Ear/Nose/Throat (ENT)
• Gynecology (GU)
• Plastics
• Burns

Work Environment

This role may require floating to different units within the organization as needed. The daily census ranges from 45 to 50 surgical procedures, and the operating room consists of 18 surgical suites.

Patient Demographics

Care will be provided for various age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
