Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled healthcare professional with expertise in Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) to join our team. This position requires a commitment to delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours each, totaling 36 hours per week
• No on-call requirements
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation, if scheduled

Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months of current experience in Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU)
• Willingness to float to NICU and ED patient holds when necessary
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from AHA required
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) is required

Licensing and Certification Requirements

• Active Iowa state nursing license or compact/multistate license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA or ARC
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from AHA

Reference Requirements

References should be from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO, and should be performance evaluations or references from within the last 24 months.

Orientation Dates

• First Orientation: February 2
• Second Orientation: February 16
