Position: MRI Technologist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various MRI procedures and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. This position involves working in an adult acute care setting with a variety of patient demographics.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts
• Hours: 11:30 AM - 10:00 PM
• Days Off: Either Mondays or Fridays

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for MRI scans
• Perform MRI procedures on adults, including brain, abdomen, and knee scans
• Utilize Siemens MRI equipment (Skyra Fit, Prisma Fit, Sola)
• Provide care for pre-operative and cancer patients
• Maintain patient comfort and safety during procedures
• Document patient information in EPIC documentation system

Qualifications

• Required Certifications:
  • BLS
  • ARRT MR
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in X-Ray (not required)
  • Documentation and experience in patient care for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• 1 year of MRI experience is required.

Patient Care and Ratio

• Patient ratio: 1:2 on days and nights
• Daily caseload: Approximately 20 patients per scanner
• Number of rooms: 3 MRI scanners

Special Procedures/Unit Details

The MRI department focuses on a variety of procedures, including:

• MRI brain with and without contrast
• MRI abdomen with and without contrast
• MRI knee without contrast

Work Environment

This position will involve working in a fast-paced environment, with the expectation of occasionally prepping MRI patients. Weekends are not required, and attendance during holidays will only be necessary if needed to fulfill contracted weekly hours. No call is associated with this position.
