Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Key responsibilities include planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and prioritize care through evaluation, planning, intervention, and documentation.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans based on initial and ongoing assessments of assigned patients.
• Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician's medical diagnosis, and functional health framework.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage overall patient care.
• Document patient care in accordance with established standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices in healthcare delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care aligned with a professional nursing practice model.
• Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in critical care, pre-operative, and Recovery/PACU settings.
• Strong background in telemetry and must be telemetry certified.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in PACU is preferred.

Education Requirements

• Required: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Certifications & Licensure

• Required:
  • New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
  • BLS - AHA Certification.
  • ACLS - AHA Certification.
  • PALS Certification.
  • Telemetry Certification.
• Preferred: None.

Schedule Notes

The position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with a schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. This role is within the Combined Procedural Unit (CPU) and will require at least 1 year of experience in an acute hospital setting. Hybrid nursing capabilities are needed to work in the ICU, Preoperative, and PACU areas.

Skills Required

Candidates should possess training in PACU or ICU settings.
