Position: MRI Tech
Shift Details:
Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (17:30 - 05:30)
Professional Overview:
The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing MRI procedures, including setup, scanning, and image processing. This position requires effective communication with radiologists, other physicians, patients, and their families. Responsibilities also include performing contrast injections, conducting quality control, reporting tasks, maintaining daily schedules, and assisting radiologists. The MRI Technologist operates and maintains MRI and auxiliary equipment, ensuring compliance with imaging and safety guidelines.
Unit Information:
The MRI unit features a Toshiba Vantage Titan 1.5T magnet with two technologists on duty at all times. The department operates 24/7, providing care for both inpatients and outpatients. We prioritize MRI safety and quality image acquisition to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Years of Experience: 1 year
- Certifications:
- ARRT MR
- ARRT R
- BLS
- Washington State License
Skills and Equipment:
Preferred expertise includes:
- Equipment: GE, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba, PACS
- Work Settings: Adult ICU, Adult Outpatient, ER/Trauma
Specialized Procedures:
- Abdomen and Pelvis Imaging
- Musculoskeletal Imaging
- Spinal Imaging
- Advanced Imaging Techniques: Diffusion (non-brain), Gradient Echo Imaging, Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP), Multiplanar Reconstruction (MRP)
Patient Care:
Capable of working with adults and geriatric patients. The MRI Technologist engages with patients and families to ensure a supportive and informative experience throughout the imaging process.

Additional Information:
This position does not require call duties. All requested time off must be included in the application submission. Local traveler positions are not available for candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility.
