Shift Details

Availability for the following shifts:

• 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Schedule consists of 5 shifts of 8 hours each, totaling 40 hours per week.

Call Coverage

Call coverage is required for the following:

• Monday to Friday from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with rotation among all day staff.
• Weekend call coverage as needed from 6:30 PM to 6:00 AM.

Orientation

Orientation date is firm on April 20th. Candidates must be available to start on this date.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months of experience as a ULT/Sonographer is required.
• First-time travelers will be considered if they have 2 years of ULT experience.
• Experience in the following areas is required:
  • General/Abdomen
  • Non High-risk OB/GYN
  • Vascular
• EPIC EMR experience is mandatory.
• Current certifications required:
  • ARDMS (AB)
  • ARDMS (RVT) is highly preferred.
  • ARDMS (OB/GYN) is highly preferred.

Skills and Proficiencies

Candidates should have proficiency and experience in the following areas:

• Abdomen/RUQ with liver vessel evaluation
• Kidneys & Bladder
• Pelvis (transabdominal and transvaginal)
• 1st Trimester OB (transabdominal and transvaginal)
• Testicle/Scrotum evaluation
• DVT/venous evaluation of both arms and legs
• ABIs
• Thyroids
• Aortas
• Carotids
• Limited 2nd/3rd Trimester OBs (BPP, Measurements, and fluid checks)

Profile Requirements

• Work history/resume must include a minimum of 24 months of current Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele experience.
• Skills checklist must align with the specified discipline (Med Surg, Tele, Med/Tele).
• Active Iowa/IA license or compact/Multistate license required at the time of submission.
• Professional reference from a charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO within the past 24 months is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• ARDMS certification is essential.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
