Job Opportunity
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nuclear medicine technology and be committed to providing exceptional patient care.
Shift Details
- Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- 40 hours guaranteed per week
- Weekend schedule to be determined by the facility
Key Responsibilities
- Administer intramuscular and intravenous injections, and start intravenous lines.
- Operate gamma cameras, including SPECT/CT and PET/CT scanners, as well as nuclear medicine computers and cardiac stress equipment.
- Provide basic knowledge of nuclear medicine therapeutic treatments.
- Conduct cardiac studies utilizing EKG knowledge.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 24 months of current experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Experience with Siemens and Spectrum Imaging is highly preferred.
- Active Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification from the Texas Medical Board.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Nuclear Medicine (N) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) within 6 months of hire.
- Thorough knowledge of the principles of nuclear medicine technology including chemistry, physics, mathematics, and biomedical sciences.
