Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The nurse will plan, implement, and document nursing care based on the patient's needs, ensuring high-quality care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through comprehensive assessment.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans based on initial and ongoing assessments.
• Initiate assessments based on patient problems, physician diagnoses, and functional health frameworks.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions to manage patient care.
• Document care according to established standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practices and support the adoption of innovative care delivery methods.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice models.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in critical care, pre-operative, and recovery/PACU settings.
• Strong background in telemetry nursing.
• Must possess telemetry certification.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in PACU is preferred.

Education

Required Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).

Preferred Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Certifications & Licensure

Required Certifications

• Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• BLS - AHA certification.
• ACLS - AHA certification.
• PALS - AHA certification.
• Telemetry certification.

Preferred Certifications

• N/A

Language Requirements

• English: Read, Write, Speak

Schedule

Shifts will be from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM (40 hours per week) in the Combined Procedural Unit (CPU). Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in an acute hospital setting. Hybrid nursing capabilities to work in ICU, Pre-op, and PACU areas are essential.
