Position

Registered Nurse - Perianesthesia (PACU)

Shift Details

Shift Type: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
Weekend Requirements: 1-2 weekends per 4-week schedule
Call Required: Yes

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
Certifications Required:
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
Preferred Certifications: CCRN*
Preferred Experience: Level 1 Trauma

Skills

Inpatient care in Phase I PACU
Cardiac Monitoring
Dysrhythmia recognition and management
IV therapy and phlebotomy
Blood product administration
Central line care and management
Administration of IV vasopressors, narcotics, and reversal agents
Care of ventilated patients
Knowledge of various types of anesthesia including:
- Conscious Sedation
- Post-epidural management
- General, Local, and Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC)
- Nerve Blocks
- Spinal
Familiarity with Malignant Hyperthermia Protocol
Pain assessment and management
PCA pump management
Use of Richmond Agitation Sedation Scale (RASS)
