Job Opportunity

Position: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team. This position involves a 10-hour day shift schedule, working four days a week.

Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hours (07:30 AM - 06:00 PM)
Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years required
Location: City, State
Patient Age Group: Adults and Geriatrics
Daily Census: Approximately 30 patients
Number of Rooms: 5

Essential Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
Administer medications and monitor patients during procedures.
Assist with special procedures including ASD closures, TAVR, and watchman procedures.
Monitor and manage procedural sedation and emergency medications.
Carry out sheath removal and ensure patient stability post-procedure.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations.
Familiarity with various cardiac procedures such as PCI, valvuloplasty, and rotational atherectomy.
Ability to use vascular closure systems and perform central venous access.
Knowledge of infection prevention procedures and emergency protocols.

Certifications

Required: ACLS, BLS
Preferred: Additional certifications related to cardiac procedures.

Work Environment

The Cardiac Cath Lab is a fast-paced environment that requires teamwork, effective communication, and the ability to respond quickly in emergency situations. You will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to providing excellent patient care.

Orientation and Training

Orientation duration: 24 hours
Scrubs provided

Additional Information

Float requirements: As needed
Weekend shifts: Approximately 1 weekend every 5th or 6th week
Call rotation: 1 night per week
