Position: CVOR Operating Room RN

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team. This position requires experience in cardiac and vascular surgical procedures and operates on a day shift schedule.

• Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (06:30 - 18:30)
• Years of Experience: 3 years overall OR experience with at least 2 years in cardiac and vascular surgery
• Charting System: Epic

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are preferred
• At least 3 years of OR experience, with 2 years in a dedicated cardiac and vascular role
• Experience in Trauma Level I facilities
• Flexibility to attend to varying shift demands and call requirements

Preferred Skills

• Cardiovascular Procedures
• Atherectomy
• Cardiomyoplasty
• Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
• Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
• Multiple thoracic and vascular surgery techniques
• Robotic surgery experience (Da Vinci Surgical Systems preferred)

Work Environment

The CVOR department handles a range of complex cases, including CABGs, valve replacements, and endovascular procedures. The unit comprises 7 operating rooms, providing a collaborative and dynamic setting for skilled professionals.

Patient Care

This role involves working with adult and geriatric patients requiring heart and vascular surgery and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care during cardiovascular surgeries
• Adhere to protocols for infection control and safety standards
• Administer medications and monitor patient condition throughout surgical procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
