Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Tech to join our dynamic team in a state-of-the-art environment. This role is critical in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures while providing high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Certifications:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • CCI RCIS (Preferred)
• Skills:
  • Special Procedures (Preferred)
  • Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures (Required)

Essential Responsibilities

The Cath Lab Tech will be responsible for the following:

• Accurate monitoring of patient status during procedures
• Equipment setup and preparation of access sites
• Performing EKG lead placement
• Maintaining a sterile field while scrubbing for procedures
• Utilizing vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias and responding appropriately
• Room circulation duties to facilitate smooth operations

Work Environment

Working in a facility with:

• Three dedicated cath labs and one hybrid operating room
• Interdisciplinary support from respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• A focus on adult and geriatric patient care

Additional Information

• Patient Ratios: 1:20 during days, 1:4 on weekends
• Daily Census: Approximately 17 patients
• Orientation Hours: 36 hours
