Description
Position: Interventional Radiology Technologist
We are seeking a qualified Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team for day shifts. This full-time position involves a 4x10-hour work schedule, operating from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with rotating days off.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform interventional radiology procedures including but not limited to vascular access, IVC filter placement, embolizations, and TIPS.
- Scrub and circulate during interventional procedures, maintaining a sterile field.
- Operate essential radiological equipment and maintain equipment functionality.
- Coordinate with medical staff and assist in patient management during procedures.
- Utilize EPIC for patient documentation and record-keeping.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology.
- Certification in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
- Experience with PACS and various interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, stent placements, and biliary drainage.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in teaching hospitals and community hospitals.
- Previous exposure to Trauma Level I environments.
Work Environment:
The position primarily involves working in an interventional radiology suite with eight procedure rooms, focusing exclusively on interventional procedures without cath/EP, neuro, or hybrid OR cases. Patient care will include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Additional Information:
The role includes on-call responsibilities, requiring a commitment of at least three primary call shifts per 13-week contract period. Two requests for pre-approved time off are permitted during this period.
