Position: CVOR Operating Room RN

Shift Details

Day Shift: 5x8 (06:30 - 15:00)

Flexibility in schedule is required with call obligations.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 years of overall Operating Room experience
• 2 years of dedicated experience in cardiac and vascular surgery
• 1 year of experience in a Level I Trauma facility
• Proficient in electronic charting systems, specifically Epic

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - preferred

Required Skills

• Expertise in Cardiovascular, Thoracic, and Vascular procedures
• Experience in Transplant care

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Cardiovascular procedures such as:
  • Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
  • Mitral and Aortic Valve replacement
  • Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
  • Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD)
  • Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
• Thoracic procedures such as:
  • Thoracotomy
  • Mediastinoscopy
• General Surgery skills including:
  • Colon resection
  • Cholecystectomy
• Vascular skills such as:
  • Catheterization and endovascular procedures
  • Aortoenteric fistula repair
• Robotics experience (Da Vinci Surgical Systems - preferred)

• Operating Room: CVOR, General OR, Hybrid OR
• Patient Age Groups: Adults and Geriatrics
• Patient Care Focus: Heart and Vascular care

Additional Information

Employees may be required to participate in call rotation, with approximately 30-40 hours of call scheduled over a 4-week period.
