Position: Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OB/GYN)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team, specializing in OB/GYN procedures. This position requires travel experience and includes a variety of responsibilities in a dynamic surgical environment.

• Days: Monday - Friday
• Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (06:45 - 15:15)

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an Operating Room setting.
• Must have experience with traveling assignments; first-time travelers will not be considered.
• BLS certification is required; additional certifications are preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing surgical assistance for gynecological procedures, including but not limited to:
• Abdominal and Vaginal Hysterectomy
• Anterior/Posterior Repair (Colporrhaphy)
• Bilateral Tubal Ligation
• Dilation & Curettage
• Laparoscopic Assisted Gynecological Procedures
• Therapeutic Abortion
• Robotic Surgery Procedures
• Participate in call requirements, typically once per week, which may include weekends and holiday rotations.
• Adhere to unit-specific protocols and maintain patient safety and comfort.

Patient Population

Care will be provided primarily to female patients aged 12 and up, with a focus on gynecological health.

Unit Details

• Daily census: 5-12 patients
• Number of operating rooms: 3
• Interdisciplinary support available, including interpretation services and rapid response teams.
• Special equipment used includes Da Vinci Surgical System, Novasure, and Myosure.

Orientation

Orientation hours: 16 hours.

Additional Information

• RTO (Requests for Time Off) are limited to a maximum of 7 days for auto offers.
• Local candidates will be accepted.
• Travelers may be required to float to other surgical services areas as needed.
