Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience and possess a Washington state license. Experience in a teaching hospital and Level I trauma facility is preferred.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00)
• Block Schedules: Yes
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend

Responsibilities

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for patient care across a range of settings, including:

• Emergency Department
• Pediatrics
• Medication Administration
• Trail care and rapid response

Required Qualifications

• Certifications:
  • ACLS (preferred)
  • BLS
  • PALS (preferred)
  • RRT
  • Washington state licensure
• Skills in:
  • Ventilator Management
  • Airway Management Devices and Suctioning
  • Medication Delivery Systems
  • Oxygen Therapy
  • Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)

Desired Skills

• Experience in Trauma and Rapid Response situations (preferred)
• Knowledge of medication administration including:
  • Bicarbonate
  • Inhaled Flolan
  • Ketamine
  • Mucomyst
  • Nitric Oxide (INo)
  • Theophylline
  • Various bronchodilators and inhaled steroids
• Ventilator management and troubleshooting skills

Patient Population

Ability to provide care to various patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Familiarity with pediatric patient diagnoses is preferred.
